Norfolk Cross Country Championships 2022

It was another great day for Bure Valley Harriers and considering we are one of the smallests clubs in the county we had 23 runners competing and we came away with numerous county medals. The club atmosphere was brilliant too. The weather was on top form too.
Callum Bowen-jones was the overall winner in 32.13 and right from the start you could see his intention to win which he did with an impressive 24 second margin over the second place runner.
In the under 15 boys race Billy Eccles, Michael Swindells and Frank Smith worked hard to win the well deserved bronze team medal.
Michael Eccles still not quite back to full fitness was 6th overall and 2nd 40-44 in 33.55.
Jeremy Rogers 36.59 was 23rd overall and 3rd 45.49.
Simon Bales 37.21 was 26th overall and 4th 45-49.
They also won the masters silver team medal.
Our golden oldies were on form too with Frank Gribben (45.58) winning the silver medal in the 65-69 age group and Phil Hurr, also on his way back from injury, (46.30) took the 65-69 bronze medal.
