WAC New Year’s Day 10k 2022

Jack Noble was on a mission to pace himself today and hopefully achieve a pb which he did. He finished 10th overall in a diamond standard time of 35.29, taking over a minute off his previous time. Jack did run a 33 min 10k in Leeds a couple of years ago but the course was found to be measured short by a few metres so his time wasn’t allowed. Let’s hope you will get your 33 mins or even faster in 2022.

Laurie Woods ran 38.57. Not quite a pb but it was New Years day after all!!.

Paul Ward who turned up 5 minutes late for his wave start ran mostly on his own and turned his race plan into a training run finishing in 41.12.

Phil Hurr, after quite a few weeks off due to injury, finished 1st in the 65+ age group to run a platinum standard time of 43.58. This was Phil’s fisrt run in his new age category.

Peter Woods, running his first 10k in the 50+ age group, ran a gold standard time of 44.12.

Alice Grant, who has had a very up and down year due to illness and work comittments etc, ran 55.04. Hopefully 2022 will see her back to full fitness.

Bob Carter blowing the cobs away ran 1.01.56.
