In the Elite Men’s race Michael Eccles was 10th overall in 16.01 with son Billy only 2 places behind in 16.08.

In the Elite ladies race daughter Eva was 21st in 20.59

Everyone was slower than their usual times but the course was fairly flat with only slight little rises and drops, there was a 180 degree turn every lap. It was a very wet and windy day with 45mph gusts. It was a good event I’m really glad we made the effort to do it, I think we’ll go back another year when Billy’s good enough to win it.
At the Newport Parkrun the following morning Billy was first in 17.17 and Michael second in 17.21.
