It was a beautiful sunny day for the Honeybell Cross Country and in such a lovely setting too. This is a proper cross country course with a few of coaches “friends” in the middle and is to be highly recommended, although we’re not sure all would agree with that!
We had the following results:
2.4 mile course:
Billy Eccles was the overall winner in 13.51
Eva Eccles was 3rd overall and first girl in 15.20
Belle Watkins ,who is getting stronger every race, was 2nd F18 in 17.58
5 Mile course:
Michael Eccles first overall, by over 2 minutes, in 30.14
Johno 1st 45+ in 34.23
Matt Stone 1st 50+ in 36.22
Joanne Watkins 2nd Lady in39.16
Al Ross in 41.06
Gail Hardingham in 50.27
Emily Warren-Ward in 53.06 and
Katherine Garwood in 54.17
The bacon butties afterwards were enjoyed by all especially Michael who had two and the trip to the pub afterwards for a race catch up was really nice.
