Everyone who ran today came away with an award of sorts, some of them unexpected.
The series prizes were presented in the Bowls club which had the added benefit of a bar!! I’ll say no more.
Here we go with the results. It will be todays race followed by the series result.
Billy Eccles 1st u/15 and 2nd in the series.
Eva Eccles 2nd u/13 and 2nd in the series
Michael Eccles 1st overall and 1st in the series. Michael’s time was the second fastest V40 time ever.
Matt Stone 1st 50+ and 2nd in the series. Matt missed out on the first series award by 2 seconds. This was over all the races.
Matthew Crane 3rd 45+. This is Matthew’s first prize in his new age group. I think he was quite surprised.
Joanne Watkins 3rd 35+ and 3rd in the series
Alice Grant 3rd senior lady and 3rd in the series. Another surprised runner.
Belle Watkins 1st u/17 and first in the series.
Simon Alcock received a medal for completing the series.
Sally Porter didn’t run today but she had done enough races to win the 1st 55+ series award.
Well done all. It was a great day although I think Matt may need a bit more sprint training!
