The weekend finished off in style with two excellent times from Joanne Watkins and Emily Beavis who were both running the marathon distance for the first time. To break 3.30 and 4 hours on the first attempt is amazing.
Joanne also achieved a “Good for Age Entry’ for 2025 although, at the moment, she is probably saying “never again”! Joanne ran an age club record and a gold standard time of 3.22.19.
Emily Beavis ran a bronze standard time of 3.54.44.
Ladies, you should both be really proud and it’s well deserved after all the hard work you have put in!
