Autumn Hales was the first to attack the very tough and muddy course. It certainly wasn’t for the faint hearted and many athletes found the going too tough and dropped out ! To add to this the 10k course ended up being 7 miles.
Autumn, running in the county vest for the first time, finished as 4th scorer for Norfolk and 94th overall. The Norfolk ladies team finished in 8th posiiton.
Billy Eccles was next up running in the under 13 age group. Billy showed great determination as many around him were pulling out but he dug in deep to finish stongly and told his Dad he really enjoyed it, which, at his young age, is what it’s all about.
Michael Eccles, in the final race of the day and with the ground really chewed up by this time, ran hard to finish 1st scorer for Nofolk finishing in 165 position overall. The Norfolk men’s team were 24th overall.
