Great Yarmouth 5 mile. 3rd and final race in series May 2017

What a warm one it turned out to be for the last in the Yarmouth 5 mile series so it was a pleasure to be spectating rather than running.
Carl Goose finished in 3rd place overall in 26.39. He certainly put up a good battle with the two leaders.
Sam Coyne was 5th and took the second senior men’s trophy in another pb time of 27.21.
Martin Hewetson kept up the good work to finish in a pb time of 28.21 winning the second vet 40 prize.
His training buddy, Craig Bowen-Jones, also ran a pb in 31.02.
Martin Adcock and Mark Haynes were having a battle in the first part of the race but due to Mark’s lack of racing struggled in the second half and Martin managed to pull away. Both ran well to finish in 32.53 and 33.24.
Arron Coe, who seems to be on a mission to run as many races as possible, didn’t quite beat his time from the last race running 36.58.
The Porters, Dan and Sally were minus Geoff this time but they had a lot of family support. Dan finished in 39.42 and Mum in 45.47.
Becky Saunders is gradually getting back to fitness and ran a pb time of 48.38
Well done all.
