Both Shaun Hurr and Beth King found the going tough in Edinburgh, especially Shaun. He was ok until 15 miles and then the heat got to him and had to dig in really deep to complete the race. This was Shaun’s first marathon so he should be really pleased with his silver standard 45-49 finish time of 3.43.25.
Beth, who was 50 this year, was running with her daughter who was 21 this year so it was a special race for both of them. Beth finished in a 50+ bronze standard 2.10.18.
