Luckily the running conditions for the Inter Counties X/C on Saturday 9 March in Nottingham were good, but the course was a tough hilly one! We had three members taking part:
Belle Watkins, running in the Norfolk vest for the first time, was worried she would be last across the line but as usual she dug deep to finish as 5th for Norfolk, completing the 5k course in 23.47. The Norfolk team was 23rd out of 40 teams.
Billy Eccles, in what was a very tough race, was 54th out of 290 runners completing the 6k course in 18.50. He was also the second Norfolk scorer with the team finishing 17th out of 43 teams.
Michael Eccles, running in the senior men’s race, and against many who were much younger, finished 166th out of 285. He was the 5th Norfolk runner to finish and the team were 16th out of 30 teams. Michael’s time for the 10k course was 30.45.
Well done all. Excellent results all round.
