During the day the Worstead 5 miler looked as though it was going to suffer the same weather conditions as last year but thankfully it cleared up and made the running and spectating a pleasure. More of a pleasure for the spectators who had the added benefit of a glass or two of ‘fizz’.
We had a couple of trophy winners with Graham Cox – 2nd in the 65+ age group in 38.40 and Sarah Jay 2nd 50+ in 40.08. Amy Balaam in her first 5 miler for BVH was also 2nd in the senior ladies category in 35.39 but unfortnately no trophy.
Matthew Crane continues to add to his tally of personal bests taking a minute off last years time to run 32.38.
Emma Fox (39.15), Jonathan Foot (39.25) and Emma Cattermull (45.39) were running the distance for the first time for the club.
