We had 19 BVH’ers running the sunny, although rather chilly, Valentine 10k.
Sam Coyne had an excellent run and was 2nd overall, knocking 30 seconds off his pb, finishing in 34.04.
Ryan Davidson in his first road race for the club took a minute off his previous recorded time to run 35.20.
Simon Partridge running under par with a head cold finished just 9 seconds outside his pb time in 36.44.
Faith Viney, our own pocket rocket, took an impressive 2 mins off her previous time and finished 3rd lady in 39.07. This also gave her the ladies club record.
Matt Stone struggling with a calf problem ran 41.25.
Martin Adcock had a battle with Sabina Spence and out did her in a sprint finish. Not very gentlemanly Martin! Martin finished in a men’s age club record of 41.57 and Sabina in a pb time and a new age club record of 42.04.
Glen Nelson was 2nd 60+ in 43.33.
Adrian Jay ran 45.14.
Emma Fox, using this part of her half marathon training, ran 48.24.
Simon Mortlock ,in his first race for some time, ran 48.58.
Sarah Jay was 3rd lady 50+ in 52.37 and did a great job in helping Tracey Bowen-Jones round in her firstever race. Tracey finished 4th 50+ in 52.41.
Dan Porter ran 55.33.
Now we come on to the half marathon squad who were running this race as part of their build up. It’s great to see you all working well together and encouraging each other.
