Our only entrant in the Southern Cross Country Champs at Brighton on Saturday was Sam Coyne and he certainly put the disappointment of the Norfolk County Champs behind him by going off hard which resulted in an excellent finish position of 149th and first Norfolk athlete home. His time over the very wet and muddy 15k course was 59.56. This was 201 places further up the field than last year.
