What a great little club BVH have!
Not only did we run 34.58 minutes faster than predicted, we finished 3rd in the club class and first in the small club class in an excellent time of 22.08.45. We were 8th overall out of 53 teams. We will be aiming for sub 22 hours in 2023!
The highlights:
Michael Eccles was first overall on stage one, winning the EDP trophy, and had it not been for the strong head wind we’re sure he would have broken the course record.
Steph Laurence was 2nd lady master on stage three.
Richard Johno Johnson was 2nd male master on stage four.
Scott Walford stepped in at the last minute to run his favourite stage five, finishing 3rd overall and was only a few seconds off the top spot.
Joanne Watkins was 2nd lady on stage six.
Jack Noble was 3rd overall on stage seven.
Louise Paterson was 3rd lady master on stage eight.
Laurie Woods was 1st male junior on stage seventeen.

Jeremy Rogers also deserves a mention as he drove all the way from Edinburgh on Saturday morning to run the 18 mile stage and then drove back again. That is certainly committment or possibly madness – we’re not sure!
Brilliant running by all.
