The weather conditions couldn’t have been much worse and I’m not sure who suffered more the runners or the spectators. The heavens opened and it came down in bucket loads.
So a really big well done to Tom Jordan and Steph Laurance for completing the race and with smiles on their faces…most of the time!
Tom, who had run the Manchester Marathon two weeks previously, was hoping to run this race for pleasure and enjoy the views but the weather put a stop to that. He finished 27th overall in 3.14.48
Steph, running her first marathon, had an exceptional run to finish in a gold standard 3.27.37.
Well done both – great running.
