Conditions were far better for fast running than the last two races and, although a bit cold, the wind for once wasn’t a problem. This helped our members run some excellent times. We had numerous pb’s and age best times and also won the ladies team prize with Leanne, Belle and Peggy. Simon Partridge running his first 5 mile race…
Aylsham 10k – May 2026
Conditions were a bit cold and windy but that didn’t stop 435 runners completing this race. Steven Elvin was, once again, first in the 60-64 age group in 40.41 Matthew Crane running his fastest time for a couple of years ran 41.58. Shaun Hurr, as part of his marathon training, ran there, ran the race in 42.36 and then ran…
Christleton 5k – May 2026
Lee Quibell, running the Christleton 5k, finished in 18.24. Well done Lee.
Breckland 10k – May 2026
We had two members at the Breckland 10k: Steven Elvin keeps filling his trophy cabinet as, once again, he was first 60-64 in 39.57 and not too far off his age best time. James Hill also had a great run finishing in a silver standard pb time of 44.08. Good times on this tough course. Well done both.
Gear 10k – May 2026
Well done to our 11 members running the Gear 10k. There were some excellent results as follow:- Michael Eccles was 6th overall and first V45-49 in a platinum standard 34.39. Great Yarmouth 5 mile race 2 – April 2026
Yet another blustery night on the coast but you must all like the wind as you keep going back for more unless it’s just the chips you love !! Leanne Finch, running her 4th race in two weeks, was first lady and 12th overall in 28.54. Alastair Leckie ran 31.04. Laurie Woods ran 31.31. William Simpson in a pb time…
Kaunas Marathon – April 2026
Declan Nicol had the reverse conditions to London in the Kaunas, Lithuania Marathon and had to contend with snow and hail. I’m not sure what’s worse the cold or heat. He had a super run finishing in a pb time of 3:47:10 and some excellent pacing too. Well done Declan!
London Marathon – April 2026
Once again, like last year, the sun decided to make an appearance which made the going tough especially with the late start times. Having said that everyone had excellent results. Rebecca Moore was on for sub 3 until about 20 miles and then the conditions caught up with her but she still had a great run to finish in a…
Battersea 10k – April 2026
Leanne Finch travelled down to one of her favourite racing venues to compete in the Battersea 10k. She is obviously on a roll at the moment as she finished 16th overall and first lady in 36.20. We’ll forgive her the shorts!
Holkham 10k – April 2026
Leanne Finch was second overall and first female in 36.48 at the Holkham 10k. Well done Leanne, great run.
