What a great turn out today for the club’s first targeted race of the year. There were some excellent results and, hopefully, a lot more to come in the next few months.
As in any race there were a few hiccups but everyone dug in deep to finish.
Carl Goose had an excellent run finishing 5th overall in 33.36.
Steve Cannell, nursing an injury, was 10th in 34.13.
Scott Walford 13th had a great run to finish in a pb time of 34.45 and 2nd in the M45 category.
Sam Coyne was 21st in 36.00
Matt Stone 38.59
Martin Adcock 41.53
Matthew Crane is getting back to fitness running a pb time of 42.28
John Dungar, also recovering from injury, ran 43.29
Arron Coe, in his second race of the week, ran 44.56
Poppy Arnold, In her first 10k for the club, ran strongly to finish in 48.36. She is now on a mission to beat her Mum’s time!!
Hannah Stone suffered a bad asthma attack during the race but carried on and finished in 49.21.
Jon Foot 53.11
Emma Fox suffered an injury during the run but, like Hannah, didn’t give up and finished in 53.56.
The Porter family were next in with Dan running his first 10k in 56.03, Geoff 56.54 and Sally 59.14.
It was a pleasure to watch and the meal afterwards made a lovely finish to the day. Thanks to all the supporters too.
