East Coast 10k & Shouldham Warren 5k

There were 8 BVH on the line at the blustery East Coast 10k this morning with 5 coming away with money prizes and 3 achieving personal best times. Not bad for a small club outing.
Scott Walford finished 4th overall and was the 1st vet 45 in 35.41. Sam Coyne was 5th and won the 2nd senior man’s prize in 36.14. He did have to stop for the train on the way back!!
Martin Hewetson finished 9th overall and 2nd vet 40 in 37.18. He was having a battle all the way round with Nigel Arnold, our adopted member, and just managed to pip him to the post. It was lovely to see Martin back on form.
Matt Stone was next across the line in 40.07.
Scott, Martin and Matt one the first vet team prize.
Paul Jarvey finished in a pb time of 43.58
Hannah Stone was the first junior lady and just outside her best time running 48.19.
Sarah Bird and dad Andy also ran personal bests in 54.41 and 1.02. 45 respectively.
Well done all. It was a pleasure to watch.

At Shouldham Warren cross country it was the 5k event which is the first in their series of six races. We had two category winners with Sarah Stubbs winning the ladies 40+ and John Baxter third in the vet men 55 category. Sarah Jay was 5th in the ladies 50+.

The next race will be the 9k on the 13th November.
