At the windy East Coast 10k Scott Walford had an excellent run finishing second overall and first vet 45 in a time of 34.59 (only 14 seconds outside his pb). Matthew Crane equalled his pb in 42.28 – just a bit of an extra sprint would have done it. Arron Coe, still on his way back to fitness, ran 46.37. Jonathan Foot was next across the line in 48.04. Graham Cox, also on his way back from injury ran 51.41.
The ladies also had great runs with Jess Hollis, in her first ever race, running 51.03. Leanne Shanks ran a pb of 51.56 and Becky Hitchens, who has been suffering from medical problems all year, ran her 9th pb of the year in 59.59. Sally Porter finished strongly in 1.00.99.
