Boston (UK) Half Marathon – April 2025
Simon Alcock ventured over to Boston to run the half marathon. He didn’t enjoy the heat much but hopefully enjoyed the run finishing in 2.14.47. Well done Simon.
Norfolk Marathon 2025 – April 2025
We had one member running the Norfolk Marathon. Tom Jordan finished 6th overall in 2.57.46 and was only a minute short of a pb, which on this tough course and on a warm day is an excellent time. He also bettered his time of last year by 17 minutes. Well done Tom. Great result.
National 5k Road Champs at Sutton Park – April 2025
Billy Eccles had an outstanding run at the 5k championships finishing in first place in the U/17 race. He was 40m behind at the last bend but, as usual, Billy’s fast finish came into play and he won by over 3 seconds. Chase the Sun Olympic Park 10k – April 2025
Once again Leanne Finch travelled to London to compete in a 10k and with another great result. Leanne seems to love these midweek events. She keeps chipping away at her times and at this one she finished 17th overall and 1st lady in 36.59. Well done Leanne – excellent result.

Association of Colleges National Champs, Nottingham – April 2025.
Billy Eccles qualified for the final after winning the East Regional race back in November. With tough competition and on a hard multi-terrain course Billy finished 4th overall in 16.06, only 2 seconds away form 3rd place and 10 seconds away from the top spot. Positions 1 and 2 were also national winners. Well done Billy. Excellent run.
Battersea “Chase The Moon” 10k – March 2025.
On her second outing to Battersea, Leanne Finch improved on her previous race by finishing 29th overall and 1st lady in 37.20. Well done Leanne. Great run.
WAC 20 Miles – March 2025
We had three members out at this traditional Spring Marathon warm-up race: Tom Jordan ran a gold standard 36 second pb of 2.11.36. Thomas Abbs, running his first 20 mile race, ran a gold standard time of 2.13.47 and Joanne Watkins, with a last minute entry, and on little long distance training ran 2.37.01. Well done all.
