National XC Champs – February 2025
Billy Eccles competed in the National Cross Country Champs at the notorious Parliament Hill venue and it was a complete mud bath! Billy, like dad Michael, isn’t a fan of mud and couldn’t get going. Having said that Billy still had a great run to finish 88th out of 319 finishers.
Battersea 10k – February 2025
Leanne Finch, running her first race for 6 months and with 3 months off with various injuries ran the Battersea 10k and said she had fun! In a very busy packed field and in very wet and muddy conditions she finished 26th overall, 2nd lady and first senior lady in 37.48. Well done Leanne. Onward and Upwards.
EACCL Race 7 – February 2025
Well done to our 3 members, James Reed, Lee Quibell and Cee Cook who ran the EACCL Cross Country race at Woburn Farm Corton on Wednesday 19th. This was race 7 in the current Winter series.
Valentine 10k – February 2025
It was great to see 18 BVH members out in their new vests and looking very smart too. As expected, on this tough course, personal bests were few and far between but we did achieve 3, plus one age group best time and some very near misses. SEAA Cross Country Champs – January 2025
Billy and Michael Eccles were the first members to compete in the new vests in the SEAA main cross country champs at Beckenham. EACCL 5th Race – January 2025
In the 5th race of the East Anglian XC league at Broadland Country Park we had three runners out on the long course: James Reed finished 1st scoring 150 points Laurie Woods finished 5th scoring 146 points Jack Noble, using it as a training run, finished 16th scoring 135 points. Well done all!
Shouldham Warren 5k
On a freezing morning only 3 members were tough enough to brave the cold. Lee Quibell was 4th M45-49 in 19.30 Our two medalists were Joanne Watkins 2nd L35-39 in 20.54 Belle Watkins 2nd Senior Lady in 25.31 Well done all.
Holkham 5 mile beach run
The only good thing on this very cold and frosty morning was the sand wasn’t as soft as usual but quite firm which made the going slightly easier for our two BVH members running. Al Ross was 6th M45-49 in 39.23Harly Moon was 2nd senior lady in 39.42. Well done.
