What a wet, cold windy day it turned out to be at Cambridge for the half marathon. I’m sure it wasn’t the same in Malta for Matthew Crane, well I hope it wasn’t!!
Sam Coyne, running his first half marathon, finished in 1.17.56 which, in those conditions, was an excellent result. He was 44th overall out of a field of 9000 entrants.
Carl Goose started off strongly but suffered at the end through his lack of training due to illness but still finished in 1.18.19.
Aaron Scott , a 2nd claim member, led from the start and finished well ahead of the rest of the field. His time of 67.57 was a few minutes slower than last year and, again, this could have been due to the weather conditions.
Matt Crane celebrated his 40th birthday running his first race as a vet in the Malta half marathon finishing just short of his pb in 1.38.22.
