A few runners were caught out with the warm weather today plus the lovely hill at mile 19 made the going rather tough. Unfortunately, through illness, Shaun Hurr and Declan Nicol didn’t make it to the start line but the ones who did had great runs:
Tom Jordan’s consistent training is certainly paying off as he ran a 4 minute pb in a diamond standard time of 2.07.38. That sub 3 hour marathon is certainly on the cards.
Steven Elvin was hoping for a 2.22 time and wasn’t far off in a platinum standard time of 2.23.06. His time gives him the 60-64 club age category record. Steve was also 2nd 60-64.
Amy Balaam was hoping for 2.45 and like Steve was only 1 minute off to finish in a gold standard 2.46.47. This is the 40-44 club age category record.
