Two members ran in this years delayed London Marathon.
Well done to Arron Coe who, after months of injuries, still got on the start line with the determination to finish especially as it was for his “just giving cause”. This was Arron’s first marathon and he finished in 3.51.56. We wonder what time he would do fully fit?
Also, well done to Katherine Garwood who after a less than perfect lead up training period managed an excellent pb of 4:51!
Finally, Billy Eccles, representing Norfolk Team East had a great run finishing 27th out of 68 in the U/15 boys Mini Marathon race in the British Athletics Road Championships. The 2.6km race is run over the last section of the London Marathon course and finishes in front of the Grandstand. His time of 8.13 (5 mm pace ) was only 32 seconds off the winner, beating most of the London Borough runners too. Well done Billy – great run.
