The Fakenham 5k turned out to be a pretty hard race with 5 loops and numerous inclines and sharp bends. The front runners had to overtake the back runners on each loop, as did the lead cyclist, which proved rather difficult. It certainly wasn’t a fast course but our 6 members ran a great race with the following results.
Sam Coyne had another outstanding run, showing total commitment from the word go, leading the race from the start. He finished first in a pb time of 15.50, 15 seconds ahead of the 2nd placed runner.
Matt Stone, working hard, finished 1 second short of his age record in 18.06 and first in the M45+.
Sabina Spence was first W45+, only 7 seconds adrift of her age record in 20.37.
John Baxter, showing his usual commitment, was 3rd M60+ in 21.00.
Autumn Hales, looking more relaxed today and enjoying the race finished 4th senior lady in a pb time of 22.24
Our youngster,Tara Baxter, had an excellent run finishing 8th senior lady in 24.51.
You all did the club proud.
It was a great spectator course and would certainly recommend it for next year.
