The Freethorpe 10 miles also turned out to be a challenge with very high winds making the running far from easy.
Scott Walford was 8th overall and 1st M45 in 58.09 which wasn’t far off his pb time and considering he had fallen down the stairs the night before and bruised his coccyx was an excellent result.
Craig Bowen-Jones on his first 10 miler for the club ran 64.19. We saw him at 8 miles and he said how much he was loving it!!
Philip Wright running in the BVH vest for the first time finished over a minute quicker than his predicted time in 67.00 which gave him the men’s 40-44 club age record.
Sabina Spence totally surprised herself today by smashing her pb by over 8 minutes to run 68.44. Sabina also won the Ladies V45 award. This was a ladies club record.
Martin Adcock still suffering from the dreaded lurgy ran 71.06 which gave him the club M50-54 age record.
Emma Fox also suffering with the virus still managed a pb time and a club age 35-39 record time of 86.46.
Leanne Botwright gave her all today finishing in a pb time of 88.15.
Fantastic running all. Great results especially considering the hard conditions.
