26 members turned out for the first in the Wroxham 5k series and with some excellent results. Our three trophy winners on the night were Lawrence Wade (17.03) 2nd vet 40, Sarah Stubbs in a pb time of 21.02 2nd vet 40 and Marion Arnold,running her first 5k for the club,25.28 3rd vet 55. Carl Goose had a great run finishing 4th overall in a time of 15.48 taking the club record by 1 second.
Sam Coyne continues to improve with every run taking 30 seconds off his last 5k to run 16.56. Paul Rogers broke the 20 min barrier for the first time in 19.46 which was, again, over 30 seconds off his previous race. Matthew Crane in his first race back from the London Marathon ran a pb in 19.47. Simon Mortlock also ran a pb time of 21.22. Well done to the first timers on the night, John Dungar (17.54), John Baxter (19.33), Arron Coe (20.26), Amy Balaam (21.47), Poppy Arnold (23.09), Bob Carter (23.09), Autumn Hales (25.02), James Goff (25.53), Emma Cattermole (26.21), Karen Wraighte (26.55), Sally Porter (29.03), and Geoff Porter (29.04).
Great runs were also had by Steve Cannell (17.13), Matt Stone (18.23), Martin Adcock (19.31), Ady Jay (19.56), Sarah Jay (23.58) and Katherine Mortlock (27.41).
