Abbey Dash 10k, Broadland Half Marathon & Billericay 10k

The first race on Sunday morning was in Leeds with Sam Coyne running “The Abbey Dash 10k”. Sam only entered a few days prior to the run as he felt he was in good shape to run a fast race. He was certainly proved right as he ran a platinum standard time of 32.59, a minute faster than his previous best time. Well done Sam. Great run.

Later on in the morning in Norfolk at “The Broadland Half Marathon” we had 8 BVH’ers tackling this not so easy course.
Chris Mickleburgh, still recovering from the marathon and an injured ankle, ran 1.20.10. He was 5th overall and awarded the 1st senior male prize.
Glen Nelson in his first half for BVH ran a diamond standard time of 1.38.56 winning the 1st 60+ age category.
Mark Harmer ran 1.43.
Karen Wraighte ran 2.05.11
Nitro Tac (Eddie Robson) and Alexandra Haswell were also running their first half marathons for BVH finishing in 2.07.01 and 2.13.53 respectivley.
Katherine Mortlock knocked a massive 15 minutes off her pb finishing in 2.17.35.
Sally Porter also ran a pb time by 5 minutes running 2.29.33.
Well done everybody. Great running.

Later on Leanne Botwright ran a sneaky 10k today in Billericay finishing in a time of 54.17. Well done Leanne – you kept that one quiet. xx
