Various races on Sunday 14th October

YORKSHIRE MARATHON.

Philip Wright travelled  “Up North” to run in The Yorksire Marathon. This was Phil’s first marathon and he couldn’t have picked worse weather. It rained heavily from start to finish so it wasn’t surprising he slowed down towards but still managed to finish in an excellent time of 3:22:06, which was just outside his target time of 3:20:00.

EAST COAST 10K.

We had a lot of success at the very windy East Coast 10k especially with partners Ryan Davidson and Faith Viney. Ryan was awarded 3rd overall trophy running 35.17 and Faith, who ran pb time of 38.49, was given the 1st senior lady award.
Matt Stone was 2nd M45+ running 38.11 improving on his club age category time.
Matthew Crane finished in a pb time of 41.35.
Fenella Sunaway in her first 10k for the club ran a gold standard time of 42.30
Graham Cox was 4th 65+ in 50.07 and Jonathan Foot not too far behind in 50.43.

PERKINS GREAT EASTERN HALF MARATHON.

In another very wet race Craig Bowen-Jones, who is nearing the end of his training for the Frankfort Marathon ran 1.24.13. Tracey Bowen-Jones, running her fist half marathon, finished in 1.57.02.

SHOULDHAM 5K CROSS COUNTRY

Yet another cold, wet, windy and muddy race.
Amy Balaam now getting back to fitness finished strongly and was placed 2nd in her age group (MW35-39) in a time of 22mins 27secs. Frank Gribben finished first in the 65+ age group in 21.20
