East Coast 10k November 2023

As is the norm down on the east coast it was a very windy day but that didn’t stop our 5 members having great runs. All ran pb’s apart from Simon Bales but Simon was first across the line for BVH in 36.46. He was also 5th V45 in what turned out to be a very competitive age group. Alastair…

Great North Run 2023

It was such a long way for Michael Eccles to travel and not get the results he wanted. He finished in 1:16:01 which is quite pedestrian for him, although it was a platinum age club record.  Michael’s message after the race:- “I hated every second of that, the first mile is downhill but I went up a hill at 3…

Great Yarmouth Half Marathon 2023

At the end of the race everyone seemed to be complaining about the final hill. They said it was fine up to 10 miles and then things got a wee bit harder but they all got to the end looking reasonably happy. We had two race and two County Medalist with Carl White finishing in the sliver medal position in…

Reepham 10k 2023

There were a few BVH members on the entry list but Alice Grant was the only one who turned up on the start line. It’s not an official course, although probably harder because it’s off road, so for Alice to run her fastest 10k in 47.43 was good going. Well done Alice.

Exeter 5k 2023

While they were on holiday Billy Eccles and dad Michael entered the Exeter 5k and although it turned out to be a very wet and windy race both had great runs.  Michael finished 6th overall and first V40 in 15.45. Billy was 12th overall and 3rd U/17 in 16.45 Well done both.

Run Norwich 10k 2023

We had 25 members on the start line of what was the largest entry for this years “Run Norwch 10k”. There were 8500 entrants and 6761 finishers. Having spoken to some of our members before the race it seemed quite a few were going to run it for fun, if you can call it that, and take in the views…

Wroxham 5k 2023

Where do I begin !! We had 32 runners, 17 personal best times, 4 age record times, 3 age best times and 4 running the distance in a new age group. The standard was exceptional with top athletes from all the clubs on the start line which is how it should be for a County Championship race. The highlight of…
